Generous Friends

I am working at one of the famous outsourcing companies in my place. One fine Wednesday noon, since we were not really satisfied with the food sold in our canteen, one of my co-workers invited me to have a lunch at a Japanese restaurant near our office. He said that he wanted to taste Japanese foods. Because I was also eager to eat this kind of food, I immediately said yes to his invitation.

After we enjoyed delicious food from that restaurant, my friend who just arrived from Europe called me through cellphone and told me that she would give me a nice item. When she arrived at my office she quickly gave me a promotional notepad with calculator attached on it. My friend said that this item was one of her company's famous promo items which could be used by firms when promoting their business.

That day was a generous one. I did not expect that two of friends cared to offer me something special. I really believe that there is a power of good relationship with your fellowmen. I admit they are my good friends who sometimes approach me for help financially, morally, and emotionally. I have been good to them for many years and I am happy that they treasure our friendship. I have been using the promotional notepad with calculator given by my friend.

My reflection always tells me that it is better to practice the virtue of good relation and generosity because people are not blind and they surely acknowledge what you are doing. Friendship is a precious thing here on Earth. Even if we have all the things we need in life, if you don't have friends your existence is like a single island which is craving for someone to become its lifetime partner.
